Sezairi Sazali won Singapore Idol 2009! Yeay for him!
Cause I really think he deserves it. I think Sylvia was great too that nite. Honestly, when I heard Sylvia sang 'Mercy', I thought to myself 'Okay. Thats hot! Sezairi can forget about winning already..' But then when Sezairi sang Virtual Insanity next.. I had mixed feelings about what the outcome will be. It was really a neck to neck competition between the two.
However, I do not see whats the chaos about sezairi not having the right of winning this year idol. He gave a good fight that nite. And he won. Get over it people.
I do not worship sezairi or what but i just wrote this post when I came across an online discussion about it.
The discussion: Are you happy Sezairi is your new Singapore Idol? Do you think his performances on Sunday night earned him the title?
No surprise there were some who critic and argue that Sylvia is the rightful owner of the Idol crown. Blabla. But there is one comment that I think can sum up what I want to say in my post and hopes that it will shut people's mouth.

I was rooting for Sylvia but when Sezairi sang "Crazy" I knew he would win. If you have any doubts abt Sezairi, or not happy that another malay won this, see the bigger picture. Look back at Sylvia'a videos. She sang "Yellow" flat. Another song she sang during the spectacular was also flat. She didnt get my attention when she sang "yellow" or "touched by an angel". But wen sezairi sang, i was mersmerised. Remember I was rooting for sylvia at first. dont let your emotions or your lack of capability to detect tones (deaf tones) affect your judgment abt who deserves to win. If Malays vote for Malays, then sezairi wont win, cos Malays only make up 20% of Singapore's population. All those voters cant be wrong or deaf. And if you want to know what Taufik'd doing, he has produced many albums both in English and Malay, wrote his own songs as well as other artistes and won many reqional musical awards. now that's how a deserving idol works!
